About Borker Transmission Service, Inc.

Borker Transmission Service, Inc. specializes in transmission repair and serves Hudson County, Essex County, Staten Island, New York and all surrounding areas. We provided the people of Bayonne and Hudson County with quality transmission and drivetrain repair since 1947. With today's complex automobile electronics a vehicle needing a minor repair such as a defective electronic sensor can give the same drivability problem as a transmisison needing a rebuild.

Borker Transmission Service, Inc. is not a transmission supermarket or wholesaler where every vehicle gets a rebuilt transmission whether it is needed or not. Your vehicle will receive a complete diagnosis to determine if the problem is a sensor outside of the transmission or an internal problem requiring your transmission to be removed from the vehicle.

If removal of the transmission is required, the transmission will be disassembled and then evaluated by an ASE Certified Transmission Technician. At this time it will be determined whether the transmission needs a partial repair or a major overhaul.

At first I went to the Chevrolet dealer to check my transmission they said I needed a whole transmission what's going to charge me $8,407 at axis Chevrolet they didn't even look at the transmission didn't look at the car so I took my car to Borker and it looked at the car told me what it was I didn't need the whole transmission they are the best my car is driving like brand new I recommend everybody go to these guys they are the best man trust me

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I took my jeep to a mechanic shop to get some work done. When I got it back it suddenly had transmission problems.. the gears weren't changing properly and there was a loud noise every time I changed gears. The people who did the repairs said I need a new transmission which would cost an arm and a leg! I took the Jeep to Mr Vito, I explained that we had NO transmission problem before taking it to the mechanic, he drove it with me and right off the bat said that it seems like it's stuck in a high gear and it could be something interfering with the signal going to the transmission, likely an electrical issue. He ran his diagnostics, got the code to direct him to the problem which was one of the solenoids.. turned out a wire was loose. He repaired it, put in some new transmission fluid and filter (was due to change) and the jeep is back to working like before! This man saved me thousands of dollars and not having to get a new transmission!

Paying 276 $ for the owner to 6quarts of transmission oil in my car….. Wasn’t done. Did not No he didn’t change my transmission oil. Then he said there was a leak to bring it back so he could check it out…… Once again not knowing he never change the transmission oil. The old oil was still in there….. Brought it back he had my car from 8:00 am called me in the afternoon to tell me about the leak.And said to me he needed to clean the oil off. Before he could see. That would be 150$ So when I came to the shop to check on my car. It was just sitting there. I called him he didn’t know I was there. He told me he was with my car. Doing the work . But he didn’t know I was looking right at my car. Until he walked towards my car. The look on his face let me know he would have robbed me again….. How disgusting
